DS Smith has unveiled an enhanced ‘Bag in Box’ design, featuring a revised eight-sided shape that significantly boosts strength. According to the company, this innovative packaging allows for an average of 25% more boxes to be accommodated on each pallet, further contributing to food and drink sustainability.
The improved packaging optimizes warehouse storage, minimizes leakage risks, and enhances stability with its vertical structure. This efficiency is critical in the realm of food and drink packaging, allowing businesses to streamline their supply chains effectively.
Tom Fiennes, sustainability director at Carlsberg Britvic, remarked: “Every year Carlsberg Britvic produces more than 25 million litres of soft drinks to be served on dispense in pubs, clubs, bars, and restaurants—and we couldn’t do this without high-quality, innovative packaging. The new OTOR8 bag in box from DS Smith means sturdier packaging for our customers, reduced storage space for everyone.”
