Burts Snacks experiences enhanced ‘output & quality’ with the implementation of their advanced TNA packing line

Burts Snacks experiences enhanced 'output & quality' with the implementation of their advanced TNA packing line Burts Snacks, output, quality, TNA packing line Food and Beverage Business

The installation of TNA’s latest high-speed seasoning and packaging system has enabled Burts to keep up with the increasing demand for locally sourced potato crisps while maintaining superior product quality. This new system consists of a TNA Intelli-flav OMS 5 on-head seasoning system and a ninth TNA Robag vertical, form, fill and seal (VFFS) packaging solution, integrated with the company’s twin-lane TNA Roflo HM distribution lines.

Thanks to this new solution, Burts has been able to optimize throughput and flexibility in their packaging process. TNA claims that the Robag high-speed bag maker, in conjunction with the twin Roflo HM distribution lines, boasts the shortest vertical product transfer from the scale to the pack worldwide. This minimizes product rejects and maximizes output. Additionally, the lightweight formers make it effortless for operators to switch between bag sizes on the same packaging line.

According to John Joseph, Burts’ operations director, the company places great importance on selecting the right suppliers to contribute to their success. Since the first seasoning and packaging system installed in 2006, TNA has been a valuable partner in Burts’ growth. This recent installation further strengthens their partnership as TNA delivers unparalleled speed, performance, and reliability.
