Berglandmilch, the largest dairy company in Austria, is strengthening its collaboration with SIG by installing the first SIG SmileBig 24 Aseptic filling machine at its Klagenfurt production site. This strategic investment will allow Berglandmilch to fill products in SIG SmileBig carton packs, providing consumers with a modern, convenient packaging solution ideal for both on-the-go and home consumption.
With the introduction of the first SIG SmileBig carton packs in Austria, Berglandmilch’s beverages will be showcased in packaging that not only captures attention on retail shelves but also enhances the drinking experience. The carton features a contemporary curved design with easy-grip corners, making it user-friendly. Available in five sizes—200, 250, 300, 330, and 350ml—these packs can all be filled using the same machine and come with various options, including an easy-open feature, a paper straw, or a one-step closure.
The versatile SIG SmileBig 24 Aseptic filling machine boasts a remarkable capacity of up to 24,000 carton packs per hour. It accommodates five different volume options and can efficiently utilize SIG Terra or standard packaging materials, primarily made of FSC™-certified paperboard.
Berglandmilch plans to leverage the diverse volume options offered by the packaging and the machine’s flexibility to launch a range of products, including milk, cream, yogurt drinks, innovative meal replacements, and plant-based alternatives in SIG SmileBig packs, alongside its well-known Latella beverages.
