St Ives Brewing, a renowned beachside beer maker that has been making waves along the coast since 2010, recently celebrated its 12th birthday with a cash injection from investors. Upon realizing that there were limited options in the immediate area, St Ives Brewing expanded their search radius and identified a spacious unit on the Marsh Lane Industrial Estate in Hayle as their new home. However, the relocation posed a new hurdle – the fast installation of a specialized floor and drainage system. To overcome this obstacle, St Ives Brewing turned to Kemtile for expert assistance.
Collaborating closely with the brewery’s Brew Kit layout, Kemtile meticulously designed a drainage solution that perfectly met St Ives Brewing’s requirements. They opted to install the Kagetec system due to its exceptional functionality and appealing aesthetic. Given that the new Tap Room was situated nearby, it was crucial for the flooring to not only serve its purpose but also visually complement the brewery’s overall ambiance, attracting numerous visitors to this part of the facility.
Over the course of four weeks, Kemtile successfully completed the installation of Kagetec GFK and BS. Wiedemann Drainage channels and gullies, covering a vast area of 400m². The results were highly gratifying for St Ives Brewery, as Marco Amura, the founder, expressed his satisfaction, stating, “The Kemtile floor was installed in June 2022 and was a dream to see take shape. It was precisely laid to an excellent standard. Our brewers are really pleased with the drainage and its overall finish. I would highly recommend a Kemtile floor over a resin finish.”
