This autumn, Sormac is set to showcase its high-precision equipment for fruit and vegetable processing at two major US trade shows, making a significant impact on the food manufacturing industry.

Initially, the company will demonstrate its cutting-edge machinery at the Global Produce and Floral Show in October. Subsequently, Sormac will participate at Pack Expo in November, amplifying its outreach to a diverse audience within the food manufacturing sector.

At the Global Produce show, the highlight of Sormac’s stand will be the innovative knife peeler from the renowned UP series. Specifically designed for long vegetables like carrots, parsnips, and cucumbers, this machinery peels effortlessly, showcasing Sormac’s commitment to quality in food manufacturing.

The UP-4000 model offers gentle and precise peeling, promoting swift vegetable preparation while minimizing waste and delivering premium hand-peeled quality. Moreover, attendees can witness the exceptional FS-3600 slice and wedge cutter in action. This versatile machine meets a wide range of processing needs by efficiently slicing, de-coring, and wedging various produce, including tomatoes, onions, apples, citrus fruits, and sweet potatoes.

With an impressive output of up to 3,600 pieces per hour, the FS-3600 delivers maximum flexibility. It operates as a standalone machine or integrates seamlessly into a broader production line, such as with a dipping solution for apples to prevent discoloration of peeled products.

In addition to knife peeling and slicing solutions, visitors at Pack Expo will have the chance to explore the latest version of Sormac’s onion peeling machine, the hygienic USM-H100. This efficient machine can peel up to 6,000 onions per hour while precisely topping and tailing each one before effectively removing the skin.

Thanks to Sormac’s advanced air-saving technology, the skin removal process is both effective and precise, minimizing excessive air use. Moreover, the hygienic design of the machine features full accessibility and easy cleaning, with open frame surfaces, stainless steel components, and a separation between cutting and peeling sections. This design reduces the risk of trapped product waste, ultimately promoting microbiologically clean end products.

Overall, Sormac’s machinery prioritizes superior product quality and hygiene, minimizing waste and reducing the need for further manual intervention. The reliability, efficiency, and user-friendliness of Sormac’s technology enable fresh produce processors to deliver high-quality products rapidly, addressing the short freshness window typical in the food manufacturing industry.

Troy Burns, general manager at Sormac Inc., USA, emphasized: “In supporting such a critical industry as the food sector, we know that reliability has to remain at the core of all we do at Sormac. We’re excited to be sharing our technology at both Global Produce and Pack Expo and look forward to meeting with new and existing customers.”

Attendees of the Global Produce and Floral Show can experience Sormac’s innovative technology by visiting booth C-2001 from October 17-19 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, USA.

At Pack Expo, Sormac will be located at booth LU-8141 from November 3-6 at McCormick Place in Chicago, USA.
