Multivac, a leader in food packaging, has developed the innovative Multivac Pouch Loader (MPL) for chamber belt machines. This semi-automatic solution is designed to improve the filling of film pouches and loading them into the packaging machine, thereby reducing personnel costs by up to 40% and increasing efficiency compared to manual loading.
The MPL offers maximum flexibility in products and pack formats, making it an ideal solution for businesses looking to streamline their packaging process. The pouch loader only requires one person to position the products on the infeed conveyor of the machine and two other people to pull the film pouches over the loading conveyor, automatically conveying the product into the film pouch.
Compared to manual procedures, the MPL requires only three operators, making it a cost-effective solution. Not only that, but the MPL is also beneficial in terms of hygiene and ergonomics. It eliminates the need for operators to lift and place products in the pouches, thereby reducing the risk of contamination.
The MPL is designed for easy integration into line solutions from Multivac with either the B 425, B 525 or B 625 chamber belt machines. It can also be combined with the compact Multivac Pouch Rack, which can accommodate up to ten different stacks of pouch sizes.
According to Korbinian Wiest, product manager for chamber belt machines at Multivac, “We can for the first time offer our customers a complete solution from one source for pouch applications on chamber belt machines… The Multivac Pouch Loader stands for a simple and effortless packaging process with a high degree of efficiency, reliability, operating convenience, and cost-effectiveness.”
The MPL can handle pouch lengths in a range of 200 to 800 mm and pouch widths between 150 and 600 mm, making it versatile enough to meet various packaging needs. With the MPL, businesses can now enjoy an improved and efficient packaging process while minimizing the risks of contamination and reducing personnel costs.
