Delifresh stands out as a premium quality provider of whole and prepared fruits, vegetables, and chilled products, with operations stretching from London to Newcastle.
Musgrave emphasizes that this acquisition significantly bolsters its presence in the premium foodservice sector across Great Britain. This move follows previous acquisitions of Ritter Courivaud, Town & Country Fine Foods, and Italicatessen UK, all reputable suppliers of premium ingredients catering to chefs, restaurants, and hospitality businesses throughout the UK.
Stuart Campbell, managing director for Musgrave Group in Great Britain, stated: “By bringing Delifresh into the Musgrave Group, we are adding a strong player in the fresh, chilled, and specialty products space to our portfolio. This acquisition aligns with our intent to capture more market share in the premium and high-quality food sectors, as we continue to enhance our product range and geographical reach to meet growing customer demand.”

Although the financial details of the deal remain undisclosed, the implications for the food manufacturing sector are noteworthy.
Musgrave Group, a family-owned enterprise, is Ireland’s largest private sector employer, supporting over 41,000 jobs across more than 1,000 stores, offices, and distribution centers.
Additionally, the group maintains operations in both the food retail and wholesale sectors in Spain, enhancing its international reach.
Under its brand Musgrave MarketPlace, the group operates as a foodservice wholesaler in Ireland, supplying over 50,000 retailers, pubs, hotels, restaurants, and hospitality customers.
Musgrave MarketPlace proudly offers Ireland’s largest wholesale range, showcasing over 14,000 products including confectionery, dry goods, chilled, fresh, and frozen foods.
