Laubies has been serving in an interim capacity as CEO since Nathalie Roos stepped down from the role in September of last year for personal reasons.
Prior to this interim role, Laubies was the chair of the firm’s supervisory board, playing a crucial role since Lipton Teas and Infusions was established as an independent entity in 2022.
With three decades of experience at multinational firms including Mars and the Campbell Soup Company, Laubies has previously held CEO positions at Jacobs Douwe Egberts and Coty. Additionally, he is a member of the Groupe Panzani board, further showcasing his extensive industry expertise.
After his appointment six months ago, Laubies expressed gratitude by stating: “On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Nathalie for her achievements as CEO of LIPTON Teas and Infusions. She has set the business on an exciting journey that we continue to follow, and I wish her all the best.”
Roos reflected on her experience, adding: “I have found my time at LIPTON Teas and Infusions enormously rewarding. I believe we have created a special company with tremendous potential, and I look forward to watching its future success.”
Headquartered in Amsterdam, Lipton Teas and Infusions encompasses a portfolio of leading tea brands, including Lipton, Pukka, and PG Tips, with operations spanning over 100 countries worldwide.
The company was established in July 2022 after Unilever sold its tea business, initially named Ekaterra, to private equity firm CVC Capital Partners, which subsequently rebranded it as Lipton Teas and Infusions.
Based in Jersey, CVC Capital Partners is also invested in various food businesses, such as Monbake, Panzani, and Vivartia, thereby solidifying its influence in the food manufacturing sector.
