Fortifi Food Processing Solutions, a leader in food processing automation, is acquiring Deighton Manufacturing, known for its equipment used in forming, portioning, coating, and frying processes.

This acquisition aligns with Fortifi’s strategic goal to provide comprehensive, full-line solutions tailored to meet the demands of food processors, regardless of their scale.

Massimo Bizzi, the CEO of Fortifi, noted, “Deighton is an important step in expanding Fortifi’s capabilities into modular, flexible and lower-throughput applications, broadening our reach to a wider customer base while complementing our core expertise in large-scale, fully integrated processing.”

He further emphasized, “Together with Provisur Technologies and Nothum Food Processing Systems, we can deliver high-quality forming, coating and thermal applications across all production volumes.”

With this acquisition, Fortifi enhances its production capabilities across various sectors, including protein, fish, dairy, and bakery, serving a diverse array of food processors around the globe.

Mark Dowdle, the executive vice president of strategy and business development at Fortifi, remarked, “Deighton brings strong geographic coverage across the UK and Europe, along with a highly accessible solutions portfolio that aligns well with the needs of growth markets in Latin America, India and Southeast Asia.” He added, “Deighton positions us to accelerate expansion into emerging markets and support a broader range of food processors globally.”

Deighton is renowned for its continuous and batch processing equipment tailored for numerous consumer products, such as nuggets, burgers, appetizers, vegetables, cookies, and a variety of international cuisines.
