Castle Dairies, a leading butter manufacturer, has teamed up with sea salt specialists Halen Môn to introduce a new line of sated butters available in both block and spreadable formats.
With over 60 years of experience, Castle Dairies employs traditional methods to produce its butters. This family-run business is dedicated to sustainable and ethical farming practices, sourcing British cream exclusively from Red Tractor Assured farms. Currently, they partner with more than 200 farmers across Wales and utilize 100% UK-sourced natural ingredients.
The latest product line is free from additives, colorings, and preservatives, making it suitable for vegetarians.
The 250g block features British butter, Halen Môn Sea Salt Crystals, and Halen Môn Fine Salt, with a recommended retail price (RRP) of £3.25. In contrast, the 250g spreadable variant—perfect for use straight from the fridge—combines British butter, British rapeseed oil, water, and Halen Môn Sea Salt, retailing at an RRP of £3.
“At Castle Dairies, we’re passionate about crafting real butter the traditional way – using established and respected methods passed down through generations. We’re committed to using only the finest, natural, British ingredients, all responsibly sourced from trusted UK suppliers who share our values around sustainability and ethical farming,” commented Rebecca Ross, brand manager for Castle Dairies.
“Partnering with Halen Môn is a natural fit – bringing together two artisan brands with a shared commitment to quality, innovation, and delivering something truly special to delight our customers.”
These products will launch exclusively in Waitrose, supported by in-store promotions and a selection of recipe suggestions aimed at inspiring customers and encouraging them to explore the full range of offerings.
This partnership follows a successful collaboration that resulted in the launch of a butter roll in August 2023.
