A state-of-the-art £47 million factory is set to transform the FMCG and Foodservice packaging and labeling market with cutting-edge certified green solutions. Biopax Limited, located in Springvale Business Park in West Belfast, aims to lead the way in sustainable packaging using the latest European, US, and Chinese technology. With plans to create 169 jobs over the next four years, Biopax is committed to further investment in a second phase. Occupying an expanded 70,000 sq foot factory on an 8.4-acre site, Biopax specializes in producing bespoke, printed and unprinted packaging and labels for the food service, retail, distribution, and beverage sectors.

Biopax Limited is owned by Dr. Terry Cross OBE, a successful entrepreneur responsible for the groundbreaking Hinch Distillery. Leading the Biopax business are Liam O’Connor, Sales and Marketing Director, and Greg Prescott, General Manager. Dr. Cross expressed enthusiasm for pioneering green packaging solutions that address today’s packaging needs. Recruitment is already underway, with 45 jobs filled out of the total 169. The investment in a state-of-the-art factory and machinery at the former Caterpillar site rejuvenates West Belfast, paving the way for apprenticeships, training, and re-skilling opportunities for local individuals.
