I.T.S has strategically acquired an 8.2-acre industrial estate situated to the west of Newbury, near Hungerford, aligning with current food manufacturing trends.
I.T.S plans to fully redevelop the existing factory while extending and updating the office spaces. With an initial investment of £10 million, this development signifies a major advancement in food processing technology.
The new facility will offer twenty times more production capacity across liquid and powdered flavors compared to I.T.S’s previous Newbury site, while also enabling scalable production of extracts and compounds, a key factor in food and drink industry innovation.
Furthermore, the expansive Hungerford site provides room for future growth, catering to I.T.S’s approximate 35% annual growth rate. This foresight aligns with ongoing food distribution trends and the evolving landscape of the food and beverage industry.
Currently, I.T.S employs 40 staff and distributes natural flavors to the food and beverage sectors across two Newbury locations. Recently, a second site on Abex Road was established, segmenting operations into an innovation center with flavor sample bays and application areas, alongside a manufacturing site focused on technical and customer services. This structure exemplifies best practices in food and drink packaging and marketing.
This expansion will also result in the creation of new roles in Swindon, Marlborough, Hungerford, and Newbury, reflecting the company’s commitment to scalability in line with food and drink consumer trends.
