Informa Markets and Ipack Ima S.r.l. have recently announced a strategic alliance aimed at leveraging their complementary strengths in the international market.
This partnership focuses on enhancing joint global promotion efforts and ramping up cross-selling activities across their trade fair portfolios. Notably, this includes Informa Markets’ Propak and Fispal platforms, alongside the various trade fairs organized by Ipack Ima.
The agreement is designed to ensure a robust global presence for trade fairs dedicated to processing and packaging technologies as well as packaging materials. It specifically targets crucial sectors within the food industry, particularly emphasizing grain-based foods and liquid beverages, along with pharmaceuticals.
The collaborating teams have embarked on a shared initiative to amplify the visibility and overall value of this partnership. Ipack Ima will further enhance this collaboration by organizing seminars and conferences on relevant industry topics, specifically those that delve into packaging, processing, and materials—areas where there is significant strategic interest for Informa Markets.
From a commercial perspective, Informa Markets and Ipack Ima have agreed to establish an integrated, interconnected platform. This initiative is poised to increase visibility in international markets and provide extensive opportunities for global expansion and growth.
This partnership enables Ipack Ima to reinforce its global standing as a leader in processing and packaging technologies while solidifying its foothold in key markets. With the support from Informa, the presence of exhibitors from strategic regions, including India and the United States, is set to expand, alongside bolstering its penetration in critical European countries such as France, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, and Belgium. This will effectively support Ipack Ima’s well-established sales network. Concurrently, Informa will benefit from Ipack Ima’s direct presence in the Italian and Turkish markets, streamlining the process of acquiring new exhibitors for its exhibition network.
“Since signing this agreement, we have already started to uncover the synergies and opportunities that arise from aligning these two globally recognised brands. With their extensive expertise and networks in the key sectors served by our ProPak Global Portfolio, IPACK-IMA and ProPak are uniquely positioned to enhance our offerings, foster innovation, and deliver greater value to our customers worldwide,” states Fraser Hawkes, managing director of the international sales office at Informa Markets.
“This agreement,” affirms Valerio Soli, Ipack Ima president, “is absolutely in line with our business plan, which envisions forging alliances with strategic partners in order to drive the growth and internationalisation of our fair by expanding partnerships and presence in other markets. Ipack Ima ranks among the global trade fair organisers, accentuating the mission of promoting outstanding companies from Italy (and beyond) within the target industries around the world. This alliance also helps us build further credibility with all of our international stakeholders.”
Ultimately, the collaboration between Informa and Ipack Ima will ensure that businesses in the processing and packaging sectors gain enhanced visibility across global markets, supported by specialized expertise relevant to these industries.
