Food and Drink Federation (FDF) Scotland and Quality Meat Scotland (QMS) recently hosted a meeting to discuss education, skills, and collaboration in the food industry. The aim was to explore ways to improve food and farming education opportunities, promote skills development, and advocate for careers within the sector.
Moira Stalker, the Skills Manager at FDF Scotland, expressed delight in bringing food education partners together to share achievements and explore future plans. She emphasized the need for collaboration, stating that “By working together, we can achieve so much more and really support educators to deliver the curriculum using food as a context for learning…we need the support of the industry to help us achieve this.”
