The technology fair for the food sector will showcase the latest solutions to digitize food production and logistics and build a more efficient and sustainable industry.
More than 8,000 professionals will meet from 13 to 15 May at Expo Foodtech 2025 and Pick&Pack for Food Industry to learn about the keys to the future of the industry
F4F – Expo Foodtech 2025 returns to the BEC in Bilbao, Spain, from 13 to 15 May for its fifth edition, which will once again be held simultaneously with Pick&Pack for Food Industry, the only event in Spain specialized in packaging and logistics solutions for the food industry. This new edition will focus on automation, robotisation and 4.0 technologies applied to food production plants as levers of growth for the sector. At a time when the industry is facing pressures to increase efficiency, reduce costs and advance in sustainability, technologies such as AI, robotization and big data are presented as key tools to optimize processes and improve the production and distribution of food.
In this context, the more than 8,000 food industry professionals attending the Food 4 Future
World Summit will be able to discover and understand how robotics and automation are
revolutionizing sustainable food production. To this end, experts such as Luis Manuel MartÃnez,
F&B Market Specialist at Beckhoff, and Javier López-Nogués, Sales & Business Development
Manager at ProLeiT, will present the latest technological advances that are improving efficiency,
reducing waste and promoting environmentally friendly practices in food production, from
cultivation to processing. Meanwhile, Pol Torres, Head of AI Energy & Food Research Line at
Eurecat, and John Amin, CEO of Intech3D, will discuss the role AI is playing in boosting efficiency
in food processing. Technologies such as machine learning and computer vision allow different
phases of food production and distribution to be optimized, from quality control to supply chain
management.
In addition to food production, the congress will also address the impact of 4.0 technologies on
food distribution. Industry experts, such as Robert Marsol, AI and logistics consultant at IFR, will
discuss the latest strategies and technologies for warehouse automation. Robotics, artificial
intelligence and IoT solutions improve supply chain visibility and efficiency with new
transportation methods that are set to revolutionise the industry.
