Infinite Roots, a developer of mycelium proteins, has secured investment from several companies including Haribo’s holding company in a $58M Series B round. Its aim is to address global challenges such as climate change, resource conservation, and food security using cutting-edge technology.

Infinite Roots is also looking to cater to the demand for healthy dietary alternatives by leveraging their mycelium fermentation process to provide a “healthy range of food with diverse applications, extending far beyond meat substitutes.” The company has a strategic approach for B2C and B2B sales across different geographies worldwide.

Their CEO, Dr. Mazen Rizk, stated that their goal is to lead the shift to a more sustainable and healthy food system. The investment round was led by Dr. Hans Riegel Holding (HRH), one of Haribo’s holding companies, alongside other investors including REWE Group, Betagro Ventures, and the European Innovation Council Fund.

Additionally, Infinite Roots plans to expand its production capacities and invest in launch activities worldwide with this new funding.
