French organic food company Compagnie Léa Nature has finalized an agreement to acquire Nagual Alimentación, a Spanish producer of tortillas and wraps.

This acquisition was executed via Compagnie Léa Nature’s subsidiary, Biocop Productos Biológicos, which acquired all shares of Nagual Alimentación.

While financial details of the deal have not been publicly disclosed, Compagnie Léa Nature stated that this move enhances its footprint in western Europe.

The company referred to the purchase as a “strategic step” aimed at fostering growth for both its operations and Nagual Alimentación.

In their release, the company expressed, “This acquisition illustrates the desire and commitment of Léa Nature Group to continue its development in western Europe in natural and organic products along the health axis, as well as in out-of-home, with foodservice accounting for nearly 40% of the activity.”

Founded in 2003 and located north of Barcelona, Nagual Alimentación produces approximately 20 million tortillas annually. The firm also manufactures fajitas alongside various colored corn wraps.

About 30% of Nagual’s product line is “certified organic,” according to Compagnie Léa Nature. Additionally, the items are “naturally gluten-free” and suitable for vegan consumers. Last year, the Spanish company recorded revenues of €3.5 million.

Compagnie Léa Nature, headquartered in Périgny, employs around 2,000 individuals and operates 20 manufacturing facilities across France.

In 2025, the group reported revenues of €525 million.

In the previous year, Compagnie Léa Nature invested €10 million ($10.3 million) to expand its Damazan facility in the Lot-et-Garonne region of southwestern France, which added a third production line for organic fruit, jams, cooked vegetables, and desserts.

Additionally, the group acquired the bulk business unit of French organic food manufacturer Biothentic in 2024.
