Cloetta, a Sweden-based confectionery company, has named Katarina Tell as its new CEO and president. She will assume the roles by September 1, succeeding Henri de Sauvage-Nolting, who has led the company since 2017. Tell, who joined Cloetta in 2018, previously worked at Kraft Heinz for over nine years.
“Our customer focus and strong brand portfolio will drive growth and enhance our presence in the market,” stated Tell. She expressed enthusiasm for her new role and aims to further develop the company and its workforce.
Mikael Norman, chairman of the Cloetta board, praised Tell’s performance and expertise in key markets, expressing confidence in her ability to lead the company forward. Meanwhile, de Sauvage-Nolting’s departure prompted Cloetta to announce price increases in 2024 due to rising costs of sugar and cocoa, as well as currency fluctuations.
Despite the price adjustments, Cloetta maintained stable volumes in the face of market challenges. The company, established in 1862 and headquartered in Sundyberg, Sweden, operates in over 50 countries, with a strong presence in Northern Europe and the UK.
