Consolidating Hain Celestial Group’s Food Portfolio

Consolidating Hain Celestial Group's Food Portfolio Hain Celestial Food and Beverage Business
US-based Hain Celestial Group has announced plans to simplify its food and drinks business range to drive future growth. The company will streamline its meal prep, snacks, baby/children’s food, and beverages lines to enhance efficiency and focus on key products.

In the meal prep segment, Hain Celestial aims to optimize the Linda McCartney plant-based meats range, particularly emphasizing the frozen portfolio in Europe and the UK. Similarly, the Terra vegetable crisps maker plans changes in its baby/children’s food and drinks category as part of ongoing brand maintenance.

As part of the consolidation, Hain Celestial recently sold its cookies group Thinsters to local peer J&J Snack Foods in April, showcasing its commitment to streamlining operations.

To further align with its growth strategy, the company also terminated its joint-venture with local FMCG group Future Consumer in India, focusing on core markets. The planned consolidation is a pivotal aspect of the Hain Reimagined strategy launched in September 2023, emphasizing core product categories in key markets to enhance operational efficiency.

By simplifying its operations, the company aims to save costs, improve cash flow, and strengthen gross margins to drive profitability and reduce debt. As the business continues to refine its approach, there is a continuous effort to identify opportunities for further streamlining and enhancing operational effectiveness.

More insights on the company’s consolidation plans are expected to be shared during its upcoming third-quarter earnings call. Hain Celestial’s President and CEO Wendy Davidson highlighted the importance of these actions in enhancing the company’s portfolio of brands and driving margin expansion.
