Bridgetown Natural Foods to Open Second Snacks Plant in the US Bakery and Cereal, Savoury Snacks Food and Beverage Business

Bridgetown Natural Foods, a contract manufacturer specializing in better-for-you snacks, is set to invest $78.3 million in a new production and distribution facility in Tennessee. This strategic move, announced by State Governor Bill Lee through the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development (TNECD) website, marks Bridgetown’s expansion beyond their West Coast headquarters.

The new facility, located in Lebanon, Wilson County, will create 219 new jobs, although the company anticipates employing around 600 individuals across both facilities once the Tennessee site is fully operational. Previously, Bridgetown had approximately 350 employees. Production at the new plant is slated to commence in July, providing enhanced capabilities for the company to serve the Midwest, Southeast, East Coast, and Northeast markets.

“The new facility will provide opportunities for growth for our team members and enhance our support for customers with increased production capacity, shorter delivery times, and reduced shipping costs,” a company spokesperson stated. The plant will focus on producing nearly 100 million pounds of Bridgetown’s all-natural, organic, and gluten-free snack brands annually, enhancing distribution efficiency to the East Coast.

Established in 2010, Bridgetown Natural Foods is renowned for producing high-quality snacks catering to health-conscious consumers in North America. The company achieved B-Corp certification in 2014. Their production lines are specifically designed for emerging brands, specializing in allergen-free, gluten-free, organic, and kosher products, notably in the areas of specialty baked goods, extruded snack bars, granolas, and clusters.

In addition to their commitment to quality and innovation, Bridgetown Natural Foods aims to meet the rising demands in the food and beverage industry by expanding their production capacity and geographical reach, aligning with current food and drink consumer trends and industry dynamics. This shift signifies a significant milestone for the company’s growth strategy and market presence.

As Bridgetown Natural Foods continues to expand its footprint and strengthen its position in the competitive food and drink business landscape, the investment in the new facility underscores the company’s dedication to meeting evolving consumer preferences and industry demands. With a focus on sustainability, product quality, and customer satisfaction, Bridgetown is poised to make a substantial impact in the snack market and beyond.
