Stockley’s Revives Nostalgic Treasures from Yesteryear

Stockley's continues to revitalise nostalgic treasures from the past

Stockley’s has reimagined a nostalgic classic with its latest offering: Treacle Toffee, commonly referred to as Bonfire Toffee. This sweet treat has gained significant popularity during Victorian Guy Fawkes celebrations, capturing the essence of yesteryear.

The revival of this rich and earthy confection aligns seamlessly with Stockley’s mission to rejuvenate nostalgic favorites while prioritizing transparency in its ingredient selection. Their commitment to crafting sweets with short, easily digestible ingredient lists resonates with modern consumers.

According to Stockley’s spokesperson Andy Valentine, many contemporary sweets contain an overwhelming collection of complex ingredients.

“We wanted to prioritize a close-knit huddle of yesteryear classics with a short, easy-to-comprehend ingredient decks,” he explained regarding the decision to introduce this timeless delight.

Additionally, Stockley’s aims to promote a range of unrushed, ‘me-time’ sweet heroes—sweets meant to be savored rather than quickly consumed. These treats evoke memories of sharing moments with friends and family, reminiscent of old-school sweet shops brimming with glass jars filled with delicious confections.

With a legacy spanning over 100 years in fine confectionery, Stockley’s is strategically positioned to attract an older demographic eager to reconnect with their childhood. Their extensive back history includes beloved favorites such as Lemon Sherbets, Chocolate Limes, Pear Drops, and Cola Cubes.
