Sainsbury’s Launches Ready Meals Line Inspired by Asian Cuisine

Sainsbury’s has launched an exciting new range of own-brand Pan-Asian ready meals, showcasing the rich flavors of popular Japanese, Indonesian, Korean, and Thai cuisine.

The ‘by Sainsbury’s’ lineup features seven new main dishes, each priced at £4, as well as six delicious sides available for £2.50.

Among the mains, customers can enjoy dishes such as Chicken Pad Thai Noodles, Beef Bibimbap, Nasi Goreng, a Sticky Chilli Chicken Rice Bowl, Teriyaki Chicken, Chicken Yaki Udon Noodles, and a Spicy Gochujang Style Chicken Rice Bowl.

Additionally, the selection of sides includes mouthwatering options like Chilli Fried Chicken, Edamame Beans, a Fried Gyoza Selection, Crispy Panko Prawns, Teriyaki Vegetable Bao Buns, and a Dip Selection.

This new range emerges in response to Sainsbury’s research, which indicates that half of Brits have indulged in five or more types of world cuisines at home over a three-month span. Notably, Japanese, Korean, and Thai dishes rank among the five fastest-growing cuisines in the UK.

Katy Winterbottom, Sainsbury’s product developer, stated: “Our new range of meals are inspired by some of the bold and vibrant flavours you’d expect in popular Japanese, Indonesian, Korean and Thai dishes, so our customers can easily enjoy the foods they want more of, without the expense of travelling or hassle of scratch cooking.”
