Global Brands, the UK’s leading independent drinks business, has seen an impressive double-digit turnover growth during financial year 2022. The company’s portfolio, which includes Lustre liqueurs, Franklin & Sons, VK, Corky’s, and Hooch, resulted in a revenue of £84.4m for the year, a significant increase from the previous 20/21 financial year’s sales of £66.6m.

The company’s successful international growth, canned cocktail, and RTD sales, along with innovative new product launches, contributed to this success. The company has reported a 26.6% increase in revenue, leading to improved profitability with an operating profit of £6.9m compared to £6.1m in the previous year.

Global Brands is now the biggest supplier of branded canned cocktails in the UK off-trade and the largest supplier of ready-to-drink products into the UK on-premises, across their impressive portfolio of consumer-driven brands.

The company’s founder and chairman, Steve Perez, has expressed his satisfaction with the results. “Global Brands, the UK’s leading independent drinks business, has had another fantastic year. 21/22 has been our sixth successive year of growth, almost doubling our turnover in the last five years.”

The company’s purchase of trademarks for Hooch, Hooper’s, and Reef from Molson Coors, along with a new line of exciting products in the pipeline, contributed to the brand’s success in both domestic and international markets.

The Franklin & Sons premium tonic has become the second-largest brand in the UK on-trade sector, with international growth in the Asian, European, and American markets from the company’s newly opened office in the USA.

Global Brands is unique in that it creates everything in-house, from design, marketing, and NPD through to the distribution of their brands. From their base in Derbyshire, the company employs almost 200 people, and the success of their brands is due to the fantastic teams driving it forward.

Despite difficult economic conditions, the company’s newly expanded Global Brands Distribution Centre increased capacity from 30 million to 40 million products stored, ensuring its continued success for the next financial year.
