Raju Sauces has launched a new distribution partnership with Ocado.com, aimed at redefining global tastes.
Based in Manchester, Raju Sauces recently hosted an engaging event with culinary experts and enthusiastic food lovers. The gathering served as a platform to explore consumer perspectives on food while announcing its listing with Ocado.com.
In a celebration of food diversity, the event featured a panel debate led by award-winning entrepreneur and founder of Raju Sauces, Zee Ahmed. Joined by several food industry professionals, the panel delved into how global influences transform our eating habits and the broader perception of food.
A survey conducted on behalf of Raju Sauces revealed that nearly seven in ten participants (67%) consider their taste preferences to be globally inspired and influenced by flavors from diverse cultures. Among the panelists were renowned nutritionist Sarah Osborne and Steph Buttery, the founder of Japanese-inspired soft drink brand, Chu Lo.
Zee Ahmed, the founder of Raju Sauces, remarked: “Raju is more than just a brand, it’s a catalyst for change. While food and culture have always been intrinsically linked, our perceptions and misconceptions regarding ethnicity and authenticity have not evolved at the same pace. This panel provided a platform for significant dialogue, and we extend our gratitude to all our panelists and attendees.”
He added, “We’re thrilled that more people than ever can sample our products, thanks to our new partnership with Ocado.com, where you can shop the entire range of Raju Sauces.”
Inspired by South Asian cuisine, Raju crafts unique sauces designed to elevate everyday dishes. Flavors include Hot Lime Pickle, Sweet Chilli Mango, and Tangy BBQ Tamarind, providing excitement and variety to mealtime.
The partnership with Ocado.com, recognized as the world’s largest dedicated online supermarket, marks a significant milestone for Raju Sauces. Founded just a year ago, the company has already gained a loyal following, even drawing support from one of the world’s most iconic football clubs. To commemorate this achievement, Raju will unveil a series of new recipes that showcase innovative ways to incorporate their sauces.
Meri La Bella, oils, vinegars, and sauces buying manager at Ocado Retail, expressed: “We’re thrilled to be the first major supermarket to stock Raju Sauces and are eager to introduce Raju’s diverse range of flavors.”
She continued, “Raju’s new recipe series is perfectly timed for Valentine’s Day. If you’re planning to cook something special, all your ingredients, including the sauces, are available at Ocado.com.”
At the event announcing the partnership, attendees had the opportunity to sample the delicious flavors and take home their favorites. Additionally, there was a giveaway featuring a set of Raju Sauces along with custom-designed ceramic bowls from the respected artisan brand, Fire Station Square Pottery.
Apart from its commitment to outstanding taste, Raju maintains a strong focus on responsible business practices. Each sauce is crafted in the UK using natural, vegan-friendly ingredients and packaged in recyclable materials. Furthermore, the brand donates 1% of all profits to support local charities and community initiatives.
Raju Sauces can serve as a marinade, cooking sauce, or dip, infusing a touch of the exotic, a splash of color, and a dollop of deliciousness into every meal.
