Summer has arrived, bringing with it the anticipation of warm evenings ideal for enjoying a meticulously crafted gin and tonic. Palmaràe, an innovative and highly acclaimed Gin Premier Cru, is making its debut in the UK, Marrakech, and Cote D’Azur this season. This award-winning golden gin is set to redefine and elevate the gin market.
At the recent Spirits Business Gin Masters 2024, Palmaràe Gin Premier Cru was awarded the prestigious Master title, showcasing its exceptional quality. The gin is a result of a unique blend of French copper pot distillation and a mix of luxurious botanicals sourced from Marrakech. Ingredients such as orange blossom, Mandarin, Moroccan mint, Medjool dates, and Fleur de Sel de Marrakech are carefully selected from artisanal suppliers and masterfully blended by renowned Master Distiller Miko Abouaf.
Palmaràe Gin Premier Cru, co-founded by Olly Horner and Livio Bisterzo of Spirit of the Oasis, draws inspiration from the iconic Palmeraie palm oasis near Marrakech. Horner highlights the growing consumer demand for premium spirits and the brand’s commitment to creating a remarkable gin experience with unique botanicals.
Master Distiller Miko Abouaf emphasizes the exceptional distilling techniques from the Cognac region and the pure spirit and water used in creating the gin. The result is a smooth and complex golden-hued gin that promises a truly exceptional drinking experience.
Palmaràe is now available for purchase on their website and is already featured in select luxury establishments such as Hide, Maison Estelle, and The Arts Club. Plans for further expansion in high-end markets in the UK, Marrakech, and Côte d’Azur are underway. Distribution partnerships with Ebertec and MP8 will bring Palmaràe to Morocco and France, completing the initial three market launches.
The gin is bottled in a beautifully crafted glazed ceramic vessel, paying homage to the rich ceramic tradition of North Africa. To promote sustainability, Palmaràe is working on implementing a buy-back and refilling program for their bottles. This initiative will allow customers to return bottles for credit towards future orders or have them refilled on-site, promoting environmental responsibility and craftsmanship preservation.
