Mr Kipling Introduces Three Non-HFSS Cakes to its Range Food and Beverage Business

Premier Foods has expanded its Deliciously Good range under their Mr Kipling brand by introducing a trio of healthier loaf cakes. With each serving containing only 115 calories and 30% less sugar than the average cake in the market, the range comes in three delicious flavours- caramel apple, banana, and lemon- all containing real fruit. Naomi Shooman, Premier Foods’ global marketing director of sweet treats, explained that the launch aims to cater to the growing trend of health-consciousness among consumers and capture purchases for lunchtime, afternoons, and even evening snacks.

The new additions to the Deliciously Good range follows the launch of HFSS-compliant Hot Cross Pies and bite-sized brownie treats under the Mr Kipling brand last year. Mr Kipling aims to appeal to the consumers who seek healthier food choices while not compromising taste.

These loaf cakes are currently available in Tesco stores for an RRP of £2.25, with further nationwide rollouts expected later in the year.

The food packaging industry is, indeed, recognizing the importance of catering to health-conscious consumers by providing healthier options. With the launch of the Deliciously Good range, Mr Kipling has joined the trend and made it easier for consumers to find healthier snacks.
