Schloss Wachenheim AG, a German producer, is introducing a new line of premium alcohol-free wines called Eisberg Selection. This range is specifically designed to cater to the needs of a more refined and discerning palate within the growing alcohol-free category.

Developed with higher quality grape varieties, the Eisberg Selection offers a richer character and flavor while maintaining a lower calorie count. Not only is it vegan and alcohol-free, but it has also been presented to the trade at the prestigious London Wine Fair.

Upon its launch, the Eisberg Selection will initially consist of three distinct flavor profiles. These include a refreshing Sparkling Blanc de Blancs, a light and fruity Pinot Noir, as well as a zingy Pinot Grigio. Moreover, additional variants are currently in the works, showcasing the brand’s commitment to innovation.

Emphasizing its new premium position, the range is meticulously packaged to exude a higher quality look and feel. With labeling cues that highlight its premiumization, the Eisberg Selection stands out amongst its competitors.

Dan Harwood, the key account manager for UK and Ireland at Eisberg, acknowledges the rising customer demand for alcohol-free alternatives across different price points. He notes that the use of higher quality grapes ensures that the de-alcoholisation process retains the wine’s character. Furthermore, the introduction of new Burgundy-shaped bottles adds sophistication to the range.

Harwood also mentions the rarity of Pinot Noir in the alcohol-free category due to its higher cost and limited availability. The inclusion of both Pinot Noir and Pinot Grigio, which are lighter grape varietals, demonstrates a significant step forward for the No and Low category.

The anticipated recommended retail price (RRP) of the Eisberg Selection is £6.50 – £7.50, making it an accessible choice for those seeking premium alcohol-free wines.
