Ferrero-owned Fox’s Burton’s Companies (FBC UK) recently launched two new non-HFSS biscuit varieties as part of its ‘The Skinny Cookie Co’ range. The Choc Chip and Ginger Crunch cookies cater to the growing demand for healthier biscuit options. Additionally, these cookies contain two-thirds less sugar than a regular 10g choc chip cookie, making them HFSS-compliant.

The recommended serving of these high-fibre cookies clocks in at less than 100 calories. The Choc Chip cookies include dark chocolate chips, while the Ginger Crunch variant contains crystalised ginger and apricot pieces. Speaking about the launch, Colin Taylor, trade marketing director at FBC UK, said, “The new Skinny Cookies meet the demand of consumers looking for snacking alternatives.”

Since its acquisition of Fox’s Biscuits from 2 Sisters Food Group for £246m in October 2020 and Burton’s Biscuits for an undisclosed sum in 2021, Ferrero merged the two businesses to form Fox’s Burton’s Companies UK. Through this innovative range of cookies and responsible approach, the company aims to offer consumers more choice and quality while ensuring they enjoy a balanced and varied diet.

The Skinny Cookies are HFSS-compliant and cater to the growing demand for healthier snacking alternatives. The cookies are now available in select UK retailers, with an RRP of £1.80 per pack. Ferrero remains committed to producing innovative food packaging solutions that align with the evolving needs of consumers.
