The loyalty platform effectively utilizes AR voucher technology to enhance customer loyalty and drive increased sales for retailers, while also providing leading brands with opportunities for incremental sales and volume. With the platform, retailers receive weekly payments based on in-store redemptions, as well as an additional 6p back on every Scan & Save product purchased.
During a successful trial period, more than 200 Nisa retailers signed up for the program, resulting in an average of 3,500 voucher redemptions per store over a 12-month period. This significantly increased in-store sales by over 20% on average. Ayaz Alam, the commercial director at Nisa, expressed his satisfaction with the trial’s performance, stating, “It’s been really positive to see how the trial has performed and to see our retailers benefitting from a compelling value and loyalty proposition. At a time when value has never been more important to shoppers, we’re delighted to be able to scale our relationship with Jisp and to work together to enhance our offer for suppliers and retailers.”
Nisa retailers gain access to a dedicated support department and a retail growth management team provided by Jisp. These experts work directly with retailers to improve the performance of the “Scan & Save” feature. Moreover, Nisa retailers also have access to retail media through in-app and SMS shopper notifications, targeted email campaigns, and personalized in-store offers. This comprehensive support package aims to help retailers optimize their use of Scan & Save and maximize their success in a competitive marketplace.
According to data obtained from Jisp’s top 10 performing stores, the Scan & Save feature alone has boosted sales by an astounding £100,000 per year, while simultaneously delivering over £30,000 in discounts to shoppers. Additionally, there has been a significant increase in footfall and repeat shopper visits, both of which have doubled the industry average. This continued success of the service reinforces its effectiveness in driving shopper loyalty.
Since the launch of the app in Nisa stores in early 2022, there have been over 1.3 million AR voucher scans and 1 million redemptions, resulting in over £1.5 million in added sales through the app and nearly £750,000 in discounts for shoppers at participating Nisa stores alone.
Andrew Newton, a Nisa retailer at Nisa Local Colley Gate, is just one example of retailers experiencing the benefits of Scan & Save. Newton reported a sales increase of over 20% since implementing the Scan & Save feature in his store. He exclaimed, “Jisp Scan & Save is the best thing to happen to the store!” With approximately 620 active users of the app, and around 100 of those using Scan & Save daily, the success of the feature is evident. Newton has even expanded the display for Scan & Save promoted products from a small table to 19.5m of shelving, with plans to further increase it by another 31m.
Overall, the AR voucher technology and loyalty platform provided by Jisp has proven to be highly effective in driving sales, enhancing customer loyalty, and providing substantial benefits for both retailers and shoppers. The continued success of the program is a testament to the valuable partnership between Jisp and Nisa, as they strive to offer a compelling value proposition in an increasingly competitive market.
