AF Blakemore has announced plans to run a pilot scheme in 31 of its stores from 22 May. The scheme is aimed at encouraging safe vape recycling, essential for responsible retailers. Head of trading, Jo Wrate, stated that the pilot will analyze customer behavior and recycling take-up rates, with stores providing recycling data every four weeks.

The retail giant’s store division, Blakemore Retail, owns 22% of the top 500 stores and represents 25% of the top 20 vape outlets in the United Kingdom, according to recent retail vape sales data.
