Canada-based Commercial Bakeries has expanded its acquisition programme by acquiring US cracker manufacturer Partners. The financial details of the transaction have not been released.
Partners produces “premium” and better-for-you crackers, alongside a range of other baked goods. The company develops private-label products, offers contract manufacturing and supplies industrial customers across North America.
Founded by Marian Harris in 1992, Partners is now led by her daughter, president Cara Figgins, and her son, vice president of operations Greg Maestretti. Its products are manufactured at a bakery in Des Moines, Washington state.
Figgins said: “This combination brings additional capabilities that we can now offer to our existing customer base, as well as a nationwide footprint.”
Based in Toronto, Commercial Bakeries manufactures better-for-you and seasonal cookies for private-label customers. Its products are supplied to grocery retailers and food brands throughout North America.
In a statement yesterday (20 October), Commercial Bakeries said: “This new partnership enables the combined business to offer an expanded capability set to its customers and advances the company’s efforts to build a differentiated platform in the growing specialty, seasonal, and better-for-you cookie and cracker markets.”
The deal marks the third acquisition Commercial Bakeries has completed since private equity firm Graham Partners acquired the business in 2023.
The company previously bought US better-for-you bakery producer Imagine Baking in May 2024, followed by Canadian bakery business Hollandia Bakeries in April 2025.
