pladis is extending its rapidly growing ‘swavoury’ snack portfolio, Flipz, with the launch of a single-serve format for its popular milk chocolate-coated pretzels.

The brand’s distinctive combination of crunchy, salty pretzels and smooth chocolate is now available in a convenient 39g pack, designed to appeal to loyal Flipz fans while attracting new snack shoppers.

“Popular with snacking consumers seeking inspiration, Flipz Milk Chocolate is our best-selling flavour, growing at 22% retail sales value (Nielsen IQ Combined Flipz Milk Choc Total Coverage to 20.06.26),” explains Russell Smith, marketing manager, pladis UK&I. “It performs particularly well in Impulse, which is why we’re launching these On-the-Go packs for shoppers looking for a portion-controlled snack to eat while out and about.”

Flipz Milk Chocolate Singles are supplied in 10x-unit, single-faced CDU displays. The 39g packs, with an RRP of 95p, will begin rolling out across the convenience and wholesale channels from September.

Flipz is also bringing back its Grab A Grand promotion, with the popular on-pack competition returning for a fourth consecutive year. The promotion will run from 1 September to 30 November.

“We’re delighted to offer shoppers the opportunity to win £1,000 each week for the 12 weeks of the promotion,” says Russell Smith, marketing manager, pladis UK&I. “They simply Buy, Scan and Enter. Entering also gives consumers the opportunity to sign up to our database to receive our latest news by email.”

This year’s Grab A Grand activity will feature 80g packs, priced at an RRP of £1.65, and 90g packs, priced at an RRP of £2.20, across Milk Chocolate, Salted Caramel, Cinnamon Bun and Peanut Butter flavours.

Point-of-sale materials and in-store displays will provide extra visibility for the Grab A Grand campaign, helping retailers highlight the promotion and capture shopper attention.

“Last year the campaign period delivered 40,000 email sign-ups, as well an increase in penetration and number of buyers*,” concludes Smith.
