Cris-Tim, a prominent Romanian food business, is set to launch an initial public offering (IPO) on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.

In a statement released on September 29, the company, known for its cold cut meats and ready meals, announced that the offering will include both a sale of shares by the majority shareholder and newly issued shares.

Full terms will be detailed in a prospectus pending approval by the Romanian Financial Supervisory Authority.

Cris-Tim is 99.97% owned by Rangeglow, a Cyprus-based holding company founded by Radu and Cristina Timis. Radu Timis, the CEO, stated: “We are market leaders in the cold cuts and ready-meals segment and have ambitious growth plans for the coming years. Our experience over the last few decades has paved the way for where we are today.”

The company is targeting organic growth and acquisitions in the cold cuts and ready meals sector, backed by an investment programme of 890 million lei ($205.4 million) scheduled from 2025 to 2030.

This investment plan emphasizes enhancing existing production capacities, partially funded by a national revitalization programme for the agri-food industry.

In 2024, Cris-Tim reported revenues of 1.12 billion lei, with EBITDA of 167 million lei and net profit of 88 million lei.

In terms of revenue composition, cold cuts constituted 86%, while ready meals represented 9.4% in 2024.

Founded in 1992, Cris-Tim operates three factories in Filipestii de Padure, Măgureni, and Bucharest, with a combined daily capacity of 215 tons.

The flagship plant in Filipeștii de Pădure spans 50,000 square meters and produces cold cuts for the core Cris-Tim and Matache Măcelaru’ brands, as well as meat-based ready meals.

Additionally, the Măgureni facility, covering 6,000 square meters, supplies economy-range Alpinia cold cuts and private-label assortments.

In Bucharest, the 2,200-square-meter plant manufactures ready meals such as soups, stews, and salads.

Cris-Tim’s products are available in major retail chains, including Kaufland, Lidl, and Carrefour, and are found in over 15,000 traditional shops.

The company also runs 18 proprietary stores and exports to 17 countries throughout Europe. Exports generate approximately 12–14% of annual revenue from the Cris-Tim Family Holding portfolio.
