Georgia Governor Brian Kemp has announced that Belgium-based stow Group, a leader in industrial storage and automation solutions, will invest US$36 million (£26.8 million) to establish a new manufacturing facility in Gordon County, Georgia.
This strategic investment will result in a 240,000 square foot manufacturing site located along Highway 41 near Adairsville. Scheduled to commence operations in 2026, the facility is poised to create approximately 200 jobs in the local community.
Stow Group plans to hire for various production roles, including profiling, stamping, welding, powder coating, automation, and assembly. Additionally, opportunities will be available in logistics, administration, and management.
Governor Kemp stated, “Georgia’s reliable infrastructure network and strategic location ensure we remain a gateway to opportunity, and companies like stow Group are a big reason why our robust logistics industry continues to deliver results across the state.”
Furthermore, he emphasized, “We look forward to this great job creator’s impact on the community and critical industries throughout Georgia.”
Jos De Vuyst, CEO of stow Group, remarked, “This new production facility in Georgia will further strengthen stow’s presence and support network in North America and bring us closer to existing and new customers.”
He continued, “Expanding our production footprint in the United States is a key milestone for stow Group. The new facility in Gordon County will allow us to serve our customers faster, enhance our local partnerships, and continue our commitment to innovation and sustainability.”
