Korozo Group, an international leader in flexible packaging solutions, is set to present its innovative and sustainable food and drink packaging options at FachPack 2025. This event highlights Korozo’s commitment to meeting the evolving demands of the packaging industry.
FachPack 2025 will be held from September 23-25 in Nürnberg, Germany. At Hall 4, Stand 343, Korozo will showcase its diverse packaging offerings aimed at proteins, confectionery, bakery items, frozen foods, and snacks. The company is particularly focusing on packaging solutions for meat, fish, dairy, and other protein products.
Kemal Yurum, Protein Segment Market Manager at Korozo, emphasized: “The appetite of consumers for meat, fish, and dairy products in Europe and around the world continues to grow.”
“This is increasing the pressure on food manufacturers to feed the market with products that are packed and presented in packaging that delivers maximum protection, provides extended shelf life, optimises retail appeal, and is convenient to use. At the same time, flexible packaging today must be resource-efficient and designed to be recycled.”
Korozo’s packaging solutions are designed to meet all these requirements and more, making them suitable for various fresh, frozen, and dried foods.
- Advanced stand-up pouches
- High-performance thermoforming films
- Enhanced barrier packaging
- Recyclable and circular options
To foster sustainable practices, Korozo has integrated its proprietary KoroRCY PE-based laminating film into a variety of pouches, films, flow packs, and other packaging structures. This innovation enables brands to transition to recyclable solutions and supports the shift toward a circular economy.
Many brands across Europe are already using KoroRCY to create highly functional mono-material constructions compatible with existing flexible plastics and PE recycling systems. These materials exhibit improved barrier performance suitable for a wide range of applications, including fresh, frozen, and dried foods, as well as non-food uses.
Additionally, Korozo offers MDO-PE mono-material packaging structures featuring over 30% post-consumer recycled (PCR) content. This aligns with the requirements of the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulations (PPWR), which mandates a 35% PCR content for non-contact sensitive applications by 2030.
Dr. Betul Turel Erbay, Chief Innovation and Sustainability Officer at Korozo, stated: “As a manufacturer of flexibles and films, we are positioning ourselves at the centre of the circular packaging value chain.”
“Innovations such as KoroRCY are necessary to help the whole industry transition towards a sustainable and circular future. They also allow us to deliver on our promise: Delivering Sustainability, Pack by Pack.”
“With the EU’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulations (PPWR) being applied in around 12 months’ time, brands and retailers need to act now to ensure they are compliant.”
“FachPack 2025 is the perfect opportunity for the entire flexible packaging sector to take stock of its current position, acknowledge the challenges, embrace the opportunities, and step forward to build a safe, secure, and sustainable future for all.”
FachPack 2025 is approaching fast, taking place on September 23-25 in Nürnberg, Germany. Korozo Group invites industry stakeholders to visit them at Hall 4, Stand 343.
