Packs of the ‘Belgian Milk Chocolate Honeycomb Pretzel (150g)’ from Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference range, bearing an April 2025 best before date, may be contaminated with metal fragments, posing a safety risk to consumers.
Customers can identify the affected batch using the ‘L159922’ batch code, which is printed on the packaging alongside the best before date. This will assist consumers in determining if their product is impacted.
In response to this issue, all pretzels from the affected batch have been withdrawn from sale. Sainsbury’s is taking proactive measures to ensure customer safety.
To inform consumers about the potential health risk, recall notices are prominently displayed in all Sainsbury’s locations that stock the product.
For anyone in possession of pretzels from the affected batch, Sainsbury’s advises not to consume the product. Instead, customers should return it to any Sainsbury’s store for a full refund, and no proof of purchase is necessary.
“Sainsbury’s is recalling the above product from stores due to the possible presence of metal fragments,” the recall notices state.
“If you have purchased the above product with the affected batch code, please do not consume this product and instead return it to any Sainsbury’s store for a refund.”
