Colpac, a specialist in food packaging, is equipping consumers with information to properly dispose of food packaging and recycle, compost, and source materials. QR codes and specific recycling instructions are printed on their packaging, providing guidance in the UK, France, and Italy so far, in local languages to ensure end users are informed on best disposal practices. These QR codes are linked to webpages hosting detailed information on Colpac’s new website, which can be updated as new legislation emerges.

Kate Berry, head of marketing and product at Colpac, expressed excitement over the implementation of a simpler way for consumers to access sustainability data for their products. Going a step further, Talia Goldman, ESG Manager at Colpac, highlighted the mounting concern among customers and end-users for the responsible disposal of packaging, expressing hope in supporting consumers to recycle or compost packaging according to their national waste guidelines.
