Benefitt, a newly launched brand from Lactasoy Co. Ltd., has unveiled Thailand’s first high-protein UHT milk. The Benefitt High Protein UHT Milk is packaged in SIG SmallBloc 350 ml carton packs and is now accessible nationwide at 7-Eleven stores. With an impressive 31 grams of protein per pack, this product meets the rising consumer demand for high-protein beverages while offering convenience and portability.
Previously, high-protein milk options in Thailand were predominantly available in pasteurized forms, necessitating cold-chain distribution and resulting in shorter shelf lives. In contrast, Benefitt High Protein UHT Milk addresses these challenges through aseptic processing and packaging, enabling consumers to savor high-protein nutrition in a ready-to-drink format that seamlessly integrates into their daily lives.
Benefitt’s formula features premium ingredients, delivering 31 grams of protein in each 350 ml serving. Its smooth, low-viscosity texture enhances drinkability, while the absence of added sugars broadens its appeal. This product is ideal for various consumers, including those in need of convenient meal replacements, office employees seeking nutritious options, and health-conscious individuals focused on protein consumption.
The filling process utilizes the SIG Small 24 Aseptic machine, which supports an array of 16 packaging options encompassing different formats, volumes, and openings. This advanced technology enables rapid volume and format changeovers, allowing beverage producers to explore new formats without incurring extra costs for new filling equipment. Lactasoy leverages this flexibility to venture into the high-protein beverage category with an ambient, ready-to-drink option.
“Our goal with Benefitt is to make high-protein milk accessible, convenient, and enjoyable for consumers across Thailand. The UHT format allows us to deliver high nutritional value without the need for refrigeration, and the SIG packaging provides a solution that is easy to carry, easy to drink, and suitable for nationwide distribution,” said Phanwana Mahasup, Advertising Manager and Marketing Coordinator for Benefitt at Lactasoy.
“This launch showcases how flexible aseptic filling technology can foster new opportunities and facilitate efficient innovation for customers. By collaborating closely with Lactasoy, we’ve supported the successful introduction of a high-protein UHT milk that aligns with evolving consumer needs and the potential for market growth,” stated Vatcharapong Ungsrisawasdi, Regional Director for Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, and Cambodia at SIG.
The rollout of Benefitt High Protein UHT Milk signifies a significant advancement for Thailand’s beverage market. By synthesizing nutritional innovation with ambient UHT technology, Lactasoy and SIG are effectively creating new opportunities in the expanding high-protein segment, while also prioritizing sustainable food and drink packaging solutions.
