Located in Shute, near Axminster, Devon, LBW Drinks has elevated Wolfgang Sieg-Hogg to the position of managing director. This strategic move aligns with the company’s objectives in the evolving food and beverage industry trends.
Sieg-Hogg’s promotion follows the resignation of long-term managing director James Lambert, who has successfully contributed to the premium English wines, meads, country and fruit wines, liqueurs, and spirits segment under the Lyme Bay Winery brand. Lambert’s departure is scheduled for 31 January 2025, documented by Companies House, after a decade of service.
According to Lambert’s LinkedIn profile, he will transition to Itasca Wines/Penncroft vineyards in July 2025 as head of sales and distribution. His profile hints at a “new adventure starting soon.”
Sieg-Hogg joined the company in October 2018 as operations manager and progressed to operations director, eventually becoming a board member in January 2024. His nearly two decades of experience in food manufacturing and distribution includes management roles at both Dorset Cereals and Rowse Honey, alongside running a prominent independent health food wholesaler.
In his new capacity, Sieg-Hogg will oversee operations, sales, marketing, and administration, guiding LBW Drinks through its next growth phase, directly impacting food distribution trends and consumer preferences.
Commenting on this appointment, he stated: “It is a privilege to lead Lyme Bay Winery and continue the work that James Lambert has built over the past 18 years.”
“I’ve had the opportunity to work with an incredible team that is deeply committed to quality and craftsmanship. We are proud to delight our loyal customers and also create innovative new drinks that appeal to different generations, all while using our resources responsibly to protect the future.”
K. M. Ball, chairman of LBW Drinks Ltd, emphasized: “Wolfgang has demonstrated strong leadership, deep industry knowledge, and a clear commitment to our people and products. The Board is confident that under his direction, the business will continue to thrive, with a focus on quality, innovation, and sustainable growth.”
