Dutch TecSource (DTS) and MTS Foods have established a strategic alliance aimed at enhancing thermal food processing solutions throughout India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. This partnership aims to deliver regional commercial support complemented by global process engineering expertise.

Operating under the Sticomax Group, Dutch TecSource B.V. (DTS) has formed a commercial collaboration with MTS Foods to bolster its influence in these key markets. As part of this agreement, MTS Foods will act as the local commercial liaison for DTS, leveraging its knowledge of regional markets alongside DTS’s renowned process-engineering skills to provide innovative thermal food processing solutions to local clients.

The initiative seeks to offer food processors an efficient local point of contact for discussing new applications, project specifications, and ongoing support. MTS Foods will manage commercial operations and initial technical inquiries, while DTS will supply specialized knowledge in application engineering, custom equipment development, and project implementation.

Reflecting on this partnership, André van Berkel, CEO of DTS, remarked, “This cooperation brings our product leadership and installed expertise closer to this strategically important region. The potential is remarkable, and with MTS’ strong application knowledge and customer proximity, we can respond much more effectively to our existing and new customers.”

Making Global Expertise Accessible to Regional Markets

DTS has been a front-runner in thermal food processing for over 30 years, known for its proprietary auger technology. The company specializes in designing and fabricating customized systems for blanching, cooling, and cooking, in addition to complete processing lines tailored for potatoes, vegetables, fruits, mushrooms, and protein products.

With installations exceeding 800 blanchers, cookers, and coolers worldwide—including over 50 systems in India—DTS has built one of the most extensive installed bases in the industry, accompanied by significant practical knowledge in auger-driven thermal processing technologies.

Established in 2006, Menon Technical Services Private Limited (MTS Foods) has made significant strides in the Indian food processing sector with its main office in Bengaluru and regional offices in Noida and Ahmedabad. Representing various internationally acclaimed equipment manufacturers, the company provides cutting-edge technologies for sorting, peeling, cutting, slicing, processing, and automation in sectors involving potatoes, snacks, fruits, vegetables, nuts, and specialty foods.

In addition to equipment supply, MTS Foods delivers full application support, installation management, commissioning assistance, spare parts availability, and after-sales services, optimizing customer operations throughout the lifecycle of the equipment.

Comprehensive Support from Concept to Execution

Today’s food processing initiatives require careful alignment of process objectives with local conditions and specialized equipment design. This collaboration enables food processors to start discussions directly with MTS Foods, whose team will collaborate with DTS experts to assess product characteristics, production capacities, process requirements, utility needs, hygiene standards, line integration, and long-term operational goals before proposing the most fitting technical solutions.

The partnership will also improve support for existing DTS installations in India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. MTS Foods will handle local first-response services, ensuring that DTS engineering and technical experts are brought in promptly when necessary. Information regarding designated contacts and support structures will be communicated directly to clients.

Krishna Kumar Menon, Managing Director of MTS Foods, emphasized the advantages this collaboration provides to regional food manufacturers by stating, “Food processors expect globally proven technology and strong local coordination. Working with DTS adds deep experience in customized thermal and process equipment to the solutions we can bring to customers, backed by our commercial and technical organization in the region.”

This partnership is anticipated to grant food processors in South Asia quicker access to established thermal processing technologies, supported by robust local commercial interaction, application expertise, and responsive technical assistance, thus facilitating more effective project completion and long-term operational dependability.
