Private-equity firm MidEuropa Partners has recently acquired a “significant minority stake” in Oshee, a notable player in the European protein bars and functional beverages sector. This strategic investment underscores emerging trends within the food and beverage industry.
London-based MidEuropa has secured its stake in the Poland-based company from Innova Capital for an undisclosed amount. The announcement comes from both investors and indicates a growing interest in the food and drink business.
MidEuropa announced this acquisition on February 16, stating that they will collaborate with Oshee’s founders—Dariusz Galezewski and Dominik Dolinski—who will maintain a majority stake and continue to lead the company. This partnership indicates a strong commitment to navigating current food and drink consumer trends.
Innova Capital, in its own statement, shared that during its tenure as an investor, Oshee “almost quadrupled revenue organically,” reaching over 750 million zlotys ($210.7 million) in 2025, with EBITDA increasing “more than fivefold.” This impressive growth reflects the ongoing evolution in the food and beverage industry trends.
Oshee has expanded its market reach to 55 countries across six continents since Innova Capital’s initial investment in 2018, when they acquired a 33% stake. The company offers an array of products including muesli and protein bars, isotonic drinks, vitamin waters, and energy beverages, all targeting “active” consumers.
Galezewski and Dolinski stated that this deal “marks an important milestone for Oshee as we continue to scale the brand internationally and deepen our connection with consumers.” Their ongoing presence in the UK and collaboration with LaLiga across 43 European countries signifies ambitions that extend beyond Poland.
MidEuropa emphasized that Oshee is “well positioned to continue capturing share in the fast-growing functional drinks category both domestically and internationally.” The firm also mentioned the company’s aspirations to explore M&A opportunities in another crucial Western European market.
Pawel Malicki, a partner at MidEuropa who leads this transaction, expressed anticipation for working alongside the founders to enhance international expansion and operational robustness.
However, this deal is subject to standard regulatory clearances and is projected to finalize around 2026. Leszek Muzyczyszyn, a senior partner at Innova Capital, remarked that they believe Oshee, in collaboration with the new investor, will further solidify its international presence and expand its product offerings, delivering unparalleled value to consumers.
In summary, this acquisition illustrates the dynamic shifts occurring within the food and beverage industry, spotlighting opportunities for growth and innovation in a competitive market.
