Food G Hospitality Indonesia (FHI) 2026 officially concluded its 20th edition, held from 21–24 July 2026 at Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran, Jakarta. Carrying the theme, “A Thrilling Journey of Excellence That Celebrates the Now and Ignites the Future,” FHI brought together 576 exhibiting companies from 33 countries, attracted more than 34,000 professional visitors from 62 countries, and facilitated over 2,800 business matchmaking sessions connecting industry players, buyers, distributors, and key decision-makers from Indonesia and around the world.
These achievements reflect the industry’s strong confidence in FHI as an international business platform for expanding networks, fostering strategic partnerships, and creating access to global markets. The success of this year’s edition further reinforces FHI’s position as Indonesia’s leading international trade exhibition for the food, beverage, and hospitality industries.
Held in conjunction with Hotelex Indonesia, Fine Furniture C Deco Asia (FFDA), and ProPak Indonesia, FHI 2026 showcased an interconnected industry ecosystem spanning the food and beverage (FCB) supply chain, hospitality technology, interior design, packaging, and manufacturing solutions. Beyond presenting thousands of the latest products and technologies, FHI 2026 featured a wide range of signature programmes designed to strengthen business collaboration, broaden industry insights, and drive innovation. These included the Business Matching Programme, Innovation Spotlight, Networking Night on Wheels, Beyond Coffee, Wine Masterclass, Culinary Talk, Architectural Workshop, and various industry seminars highlighting the latest developments in the hospitality and FCB sectors.
Meysia Stephanie, Portfolio Director of Food C Hospitality Indonesia 2026, stated that the strong enthusiasm shown by both exhibitors and visitors reflects the growing confidence that industry players place in FHI. “The enthusiasm we have witnessed throughout FHI 202C demonstrates that Indonesia’s food, beverage, and hospitality industries continue to evolve into an increasingly dynamic and competitive landscape. We hope that every partnership established during this event marks the beginning of long-term collaborations that will further strengthen the competitiveness of Indonesia’s hospitality industry on the global stage,” said Meysia.
Industry Seminars Drive Innovation, Food Safety, and Sustainability
In addition to serving as a platform for business collaboration, FHI 2026 featured a series of seminars addressing strategic issues shaping the future of the hospitality and food C beverage (FCB) industries. One seminar, presented by Perum BULOG, focused on food safety by introducing its JASTASMA pest control service as an integrated pest management solution for the hotel, restaurant, and catering (HoReCa) industry.
Mochamad Yandra Darajat, Head of the Marketing and Business Management Division at Perum BULOG, explained that BULOG’s participation in FHI reflects its commitment to delivering value-added services to the hospitality industry. Echoing this commitment, Seymour Magabe, General Manager of UB JASTASMA at Perum BULOG, emphasized that effective pest control is essential for maintaining food safety, product quality, and service standards across the HoReCa sector.
Digital transformation also took center stage during a WaterHub seminar held in collaboration with Kopi Jago, highlighting the importance of water quality in ensuring consistent beverage flavour. By leveraging Internet of Things (IoT) technology, WaterHub provides real-time monitoring solutions for water quality and consumption, helping businesses improve operational efficiency while supporting more sustainable operations.
The commitment to sustainability was further reinforced through a seminar by FoodCycle Indonesia, which introduced the Circular Food System concept as a practical solution for food waste management. In collaboration with DKI Jakarta Environmental Agency, participants explored responsible food waste management practices, ranging from food waste prevention and the redistribution of edible surplus food to processing organic waste into compost. To date, FoodCycle Indonesia has distributed more than 2 million meals, rescued approximately 1,500 tonnes of food, and helped reduce carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions by around 4,000 tonnes.
Complementing the discussion on sustainability and social impact, Kopi Kamu encouraged hospitality industry players to build more inclusive workplaces by empowering individuals with disabilities. Through a strengths-based approach and the PATH methodology which aligns individual strengths with industry requirements, Kopi Kamu demonstrated that inclusive employment practices not only create meaningful social impact but also strengthen customer loyalty and contribute to more sustainable business growth.
Workshops and Masterclasses Enhance Workforce Competence in the Hospitality Industry
As part of its commitment to strengthening workforce competence in the hospitality industry, FHI 2026 featured a series of workshops and masterclasses in collaboration with the Association of Culinary Professionals (ACP) Indonesia. These hands-on sessions were led by professional chefs who shared their expertise in a wide range of disciplines, including cooking techniques, butchery, pastry making, and modern culinary innovation.
Chef Rafael Triloko Basanto, President of ACP Indonesia, stated that this year’s program focused on enhancing participants’ technical skills through direct learning with experienced industry practitioners. “We aim to create a learning environment that enhances the quality of Indonesia’s culinary workforce through knowledge sharing, hands-on practice, and meaningful discussions with professional chefs,” he said.
The workshops covered a diverse range of topics, including a Butchery Masterclass with Chef Steffu Santoso, Modern Indonesian Cuisine with Chef Degan Septoadji, Hand-Crafted Pasta with Chef Muhammad Imran, Sugar Showpieces with Chef Bryan Benedic, and Fruit and Vegetable Carving with Chef Giri and Chef Sobari Firmansyah.
Complementing the workshop series, the Indonesia Sommelier Association (ISA) presented a Wine Masterclass exploring the latest trends in the wine industry, wine pairing techniques, and sommelier skill development as part of efforts to elevate service standards across the FCB sector.
International Competitions Showcase Indonesia’s Finest Talent
FHI 2026 once again served as a stage for showcasing Indonesia’s finest talent through a series of prestigious competitions in the coffee, tea, and creative beverage sectors. Beyond celebrating professional excellence, these competitions provided winners with the opportunity to represent Indonesia at leading international championships.
At Indonesia Coffee Competition (ICC), organised by Specialty Coffee Association Indonesia (SCAI), Andika Nugraha of Curators Coffee Company was crowned the Indonesia Barista Championship (IBC) 2025/2026 winner. He will represent Indonesia at the World Barista Championship 2026 in Panama. Kelvin Deviro of Catur Coffee Company secured second place, while Yanuar Arlief of Kopi Kenangan finished third.
After a seven-year hiatus, the Tea Masters Cup (TMC) returned as an in-person competition at FHI 2026, featuring the Tea Preparation and Tea Mixology categories. The competition provided a platform for Indonesian specialty tea professionals to demonstrate their technical expertise, creativity, and innovation while highlighting the distinctive characteristics of Indonesian tea.
Ade Suharyono claimed first place in the Tea Preparation category, while Raihan M. Tjahjono won the Tea Mixology category. Both champions received a prize of IDR 10 million and earned the opportunity to represent Indonesia at international competitions.
Oza Sudewo, Chairperson of Specialty Tea Indonesia, stated that the return of the Tea Masters Cup marks an important milestone for the advancement of Indonesia’s tea industry. “We hope the participants and winners will continue to serve as ambassadors for Indonesian tea, showcasing the richness and diversity of our nation’s tea to the global community,” he said.
Meanwhile, the World Fashion Drinks Competition (WFDC) Indonesia Division 2027 featured a competition highlighting innovative non-alcoholic beverage creations inspired by local Indonesian flavors. Ariel Campbell claimed the championship title, followed by Muh. Ipal Alpikri as runner-up and William Ekaputra Mulia in third place. All three winners will represent Indonesia at the WFDC Global Finals in Shanghai, China.
Through these competitions, FHI 2026 not only celebrated the achievements of Indonesia’s talented professionals but also reaffirmed its role in nurturing world-class talent capable of competing and excelling on the international stage.
Integrating Sustainability into Every Aspect of the Event
Sustainability remained at the core of FHI 2026, with a range of initiatives implemented under its “Zero Waste” commitment to promote waste reduction and support the circular economy.
These initiatives included the #BringYourOwnTumbler campaign, featuring Water Refill Stations provided by WaterHub; waste and food waste management programmes in collaboration with sustainability partners Ecoloop and FoodCycle; UCollect Station by Noovoleum to collect used cooking oil for conversion into Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF); EV Charging Stations; and Beyond Coffee, a social inclusion initiative featuring baristas with Down syndrome as part of the visitor experience.
Through these initiatives, FHI demonstrated that sustainability is not merely a topic of discussion but a principle embedded throughout every aspect of the exhibition. Leonarita Hutama, Marketing Communication Manager at PT Pamerindo Indonesia, stated that FHI 2026 served not only as a business platform but also as a showcase of how sustainable practices can be implemented across the hospitality and FCB industries. “FHI 202C goes beyond discussing zero waste in theory—it brings the concept to life throughout the event ecosystem, demonstrating how circular economy principles can be implemented in practice across the hospitality industry,” Leonarita said.
The success of FHI 2026 further reinforced its role as a leading international business platform that brings together innovation, collaboration, talent development, and sustainable practices within a single ecosystem. Building on this momentum, Food C Hospitality Indonesia (FHI) will return from 21–24 July 2027 at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran, welcoming industry players, associations, professionals, and business partners from around the world to expand their networks, explore new business opportunities, exchange insights, and foster collaborations that strengthen the competitiveness of Indonesia’s food, beverage, and hospitality industries at both the regional and global levels.
