The new bagged snack line, featuring bold flavors, can be found in the Savoury Biscuits section and is positioned as “a crunchy, moreish alternative to crisps.”
Ryvita has indicated that this launch comes at a time when snacking has really taken hold of UK dietary trends, with 91% of individuals indulging in snacks on a daily basis.
This latest offering promises “strong taste delivery” within a lighter multigrain context, emphasizing a “baked-not-fried” approach that also serves as a source of fiber, aiming to create new opportunities for daily snacking.
The range features two options: Salt & Vinegar and Sour Cream & Chive, including the Ryvita Sticks Salt & Vinegar 125g (£2 MRRP) and Ryvita Sticks Sour Cream & Chive 125g (£2 MRRP).
In consumer tests, Ryvita noted that participants frequently praised the flavor and perceived health benefits, with comments describing the Sticks as “a healthier alternative to crisps,” “crunchy, healthy but full of flavor,” a ‘guilt-free’ option, and “a bit like a crisp but way better.”
Ryvita Sticks have already been introduced in over 900 stores nationwide, rapidly gaining traction in major retail chains. Currently, they are accessible in Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, and Waitrose, with Asda set to join the lineup later this month on July 22.
The brand has reported that sales of these snacks are exceeding forecasts across all grocery platforms.
According to the company, performance has improved steadily since the launch, with particularly notable increases during promotional events and couponing periods, ahead of significant marketing activities scheduled for this month and extending into August.
The introduction of Ryvita Sticks is part of a broader strategy to diversify the brand’s offerings and enhance consumption occasions, promoting further growth within the category.
This innovative release aligns with recent data from the Food and Drink Federation, which disclosed that food and beverage manufacturers have collectively provided 2 billion servings of fiber to consumers in the past five years since 2021, spotlighting the new high-fiber snack, Ryvita Snack It.
