Skipton resident Emma actively participated in the web-based app promotion on a daily basis from May to June. By opening digital suitcases, Emma, along with 37,500 other unique players, had the opportunity to win a range of exciting prizes. These prizes included free products, money-off vouchers, a daily cash prize of £200, and entries into the grand prize draw.

By playing the game and redeeming ‘£10K To Getaway’ prizes at participating Spar stores in the North of England, Emma was selected as the grand prize winner through a random selection process. Her achievement was celebrated when she received a phone call notifying her of the grand prize win while at home in Skipton. Emma was overwhelmed by the news, stating, “It’s incredible! I couldn’t believe it when I found out. It’s a dream come true!”

Having originally visited Spar St Mary’s Gate in Manchester city center to purchase a wrap for her lunch, Emma never expected to be standing outside the store with a £10,000 holiday voucher. She expresses her gratitude towards her parents for their support and plans to use the prize to take them on a luxurious city break to Vienna. Emma also hopes to have some funds remaining for additional enjoyment during their trip.

The ‘£10K To Getaway’ campaign was organized and executed by James Hall & Co, Spar’s primary wholesaler and distributor in Northern England. This amazing promotion follows the success of the award-winning ‘Win With Every Goal’ campaign held in December 2022.

Throughout the campaign period of 42 days, Spar customers signed up for ‘£10K To Getaway’ every 100 seconds on average. The promise of winning a dream holiday from a prize pool exceeding £100,000 enticed them to participate. With a total of 275,000 game plays, more than 25% of the prizes were redeemed by customers.

The ’10K To Getaway’ Spar campaign received tremendous support from renowned brands such as Cadbury, Coca-Cola, Britvic, Nestle, Walkers, Red Bull, Nescafe, Nando’s, Batchelors, Barr, Popchips, Weetabix, Vimto, and Volvic.

Tom Murphy, the marketing manager at James Hall & Co, congratulates Emma on winning the grand prize. He expresses his delight at her choice for spending the holiday voucher and hopes that Emma and her family will have an amazing time.
