A collaboration between Coveris and Pollen + Grace, a plant-based food-to-go business, has resulted in the development of new vibrant packaging for Pollen + Grace’s range of nutritious fresh salads. This partnership aims to enhance the salads’ shelf presence while effectively communicating the brand’s values to consumers.
To fulfill its commitment of making healthy eating easier, Coveris sought packaging that not only prevented moisture ingress but also used sustainably sourced materials. The packaging includes board sleeves and square kraft bowls, featuring a PE coating. Additionally, the clear mono rPET lids are made with a minimum of 30% recycled content. Pollen + Grace considers this packaging solution as a way to differentiate their salads from others on the shelf, effectively enhancing their brand presence. The stackable bowls also contribute to better product visibility and shelf utilization, making it easier for consumers to identify and engage with Pollen + Grace’s visually appealing salad range.
Utilizing Coveris’ print expertise, the salads’ board sleeves have undergone color management improvements to maintain a premium color standard. Paul Robertson, Coveris’ food-on-the-move sales director, expressed delight in partnering with Pollen + Grace to develop an eye-catching packaging solution that stands out on the shelf.
Rosanna McCallum, Pollen + Grace’s head of operations, emphasized the company’s commitment to using recyclable and recycled packaging, thereby contributing to building a circular economy for their products. She also praised the collaboration with the Coveris team, highlighting the successful completion of the packaging project within tight time constraints. The new packaging not only showcases the quality and freshness of Pollen + Grace’s salads but also aligns with their wider brand mission of promoting better eating habits.
Coveris will showcase its latest food-on-the-move innovations, including the new packaging for Pollen + Grace, at the lunch! 2023 event. Visit their stand L1147 on 27-28 September to learn more about their sustainability vision of No Waste.
