ELGi, a world-renowned air compressor manufacturer, recently unveiled its range of oil-free and oil-lubricated compressors and accessories at the Hannover Messe. These compressors are specifically designed to cater to the compressed air needs of European food manufacturers, ensuring low life cycle costs. The range include innovative models such as ELGi’s oil-free screw air compressor with an integrated heat recovery system, the improved efficiency oil-lubricated screw compressor with a new permanent magnet synchronous motor, and the first two-stage oil-lubricated screw air compressor enabling industry-leading low total cost of ownership and increased reliability that premiered at the show.

ELGi’s OF90-160 Range
The two-stage dry screw and water-cooled oil-free air compressors in fixed and variable speed options, comply with class zero ISO 8573-1 air purity standards. The nominal power of the range is 90 to 160kW, has an improved performance within 4.5 – 10 bar operating range, and can recover up to 90% of the heat generated during the compression process with an integrated and stand-alone heat recovery system (HRS). These units can also be installed outdoors with protection kits.
ELGi’s EG90-160P Range
This new oil-lubricated compressor is designed to offer superior performance with a lower cost of ownership and increased reliability. The compressor has a 4.5-12.5 bar operating range in the ELGi EG Series portfolio and is available at fixed and variable speeds. With significant energy efficiency improvements due to an advanced two-stage airend design, the EG90-160P range translates to increased uptime and improved productivity in manufacturing applications.
ELGi’s EG11-45 PMSM Range
This new oil-lubricated, air-cooled compressor with a 4.5-12.5 bar operating range features a new Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) with industry-leading, energy-efficient, direct drive air ends designed for variable loads. The PMSM permits the extension of improved turndowns without compromising efficiency when employed with Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) applications. It reduces energy consumption and increases free air delivery, providing significant energy efficiency improvements.
ELGi’s “Air~Alert” IoT-based Machine Monitoring System
This data transmission and analysis service enables real-time monitoring of air compressor parameters, enabling data analytics and minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency. ELGi’s Air~Alert is a step closer to prognostics for detecting and preventing failures, assuring customers worldwide of highly accurate advanced predictive machine downtime alerts and minimized unplanned downtimes.
