Nirvana Brewery has unveiled its latest offering, Hazy Grapefruit Lager, an alcohol-free beer with a 0.3% ABV that caters to the increasing interest in fruit-flavored lagers. This launch represents the second addition to the brewery’s lineup during its tenth anniversary, further establishing its influence in the expanding no and low alcohol category.

The timing of this release aligns with market trends, as recent data from NIQ (April 2026) reveals that sales of fruit-flavored lagers grew by 52.2% year-over-year in the four weeks ending April 18, 2026. This trend illustrates a consumer shift towards lighter, citrus-based refreshment, particularly favored in the no and low-alcohol segment. Nirvana’s new product aims to capitalize on this trend, building on the previous success of its Cloudy Lemon Lager.

What Makes Hazy Grapefruit Lager Unique

This lager boasts a vibrant fruit profile, combining natural pink grapefruit lemonade with Nirvana’s Pilsner, resulting in a refreshing, citrusy finish. With an ABV of just 0.3%, it promises flavor-driven refreshment without any compromise on taste. James Ragabliati, head brewer, notes that the inspiration for this creation came from traditional Bavarian radlers, which influenced its sessionable character. The beer is offered in convenient summer formats, available in 500ml bottles priced at £4.00 and 330ml cans at £2.75.

James Ragabliati expressed his enthusiasm about the product, stating, “It’s bright, juicy and beautifully balanced, with just enough malt backbone to remind you this is serious brewing.”

Expanding Nirvana’s Fruit-Forward Beer Range

With the introduction of Hazy Grapefruit Lager, Nirvana’s portfolio now includes four distinct lagers: the award-winning Pilsner, Helles, Cloudy Lemon Lager, and Hazy Grapefruit Lager. This new addition complements the brewery’s broader no and low alcohol offerings, which feature their signature IPA, Bavarian Hefeweizen, and January’s Mocha Porter.

This release follows significant milestones for the company, including the appointment of CEO Paul Thomas Walsh and a fundraising effort exceeding £1 million aimed at propelling Nirvana toward its goal of becoming the UK’s premier alcohol-free craft beer brand. Collectively, these initiatives highlight an ambitious strategy focused on scaling operations, fostering innovation, and establishing category leadership.
