The collaboration includes two cutting-edge UK warehouses located in Burton Latimer, near Kettering, and Corby, Northamptonshire. These facilities are pivotal in addressing food and drink sustainability through advanced operational methods.
With the integration of automation across both sites, there has been a remarkable increase in operational visibility. This enhanced clarity empowers teams to make more proactive decisions, resulting in improved efficiency. Thus, these warehouses are at the forefront of food and drink packaging innovation.
Moreover, both facilities have consistently achieved an AA+ BRC audit score, the highest accreditation possible, for the second consecutive year, underscoring their commitment to quality and safety in food and drink marketing.
Richard Spaughton, head of supply chain at Weetabix, remarked: “XPO Logistics has more than proved its expertise in all areas of our warehousing, and we are thrilled to be extending our partnership. Its sustainable approach and proprietary technology have already streamlined our warehousing operations, and we are looking forward to continuing to augment our processes even further.”
In addition, XPO Logistics oversees the global transportation of Weetabix products through its dedicated global forwarding team at Heathrow. This team efficiently manages all cross-border services, customs clearance, and aligned transport projects—all critical for staying ahead of food and drink consumer trends.
Dan Myers, senior vice president of supply chain – Europe at XPO Logistics, stated: “This has been a true partnership from day one, and together, we’ve delivered on all our shared goals. We improved service by over 9%, enhanced safety by achieving over 1,000 days without a lost time incident, and improved quality by achieving AA+ BRC accreditation on the first attempt.”
“Additionally, we released more than £0.5m to reinvest back into the operation—supporting innovation, resilience, and future performance. This is just the start of what we can achieve together.”
