Founded in 1991 by Richard and Gill Smith, Love Bites stands as one of the UK’s most enduring independent wholesale sandwich producers. Tiffin has confirmed it will retain Love Bites employees following the acquisition, with Richard Smith continuing his role in the business.

Recent Developments in the Industry
This move follows Tiffin’s acquisition of PJ Foods back in April, further solidifying its position in the food sector. Alongside this, Tiffin has plans to create a 50,000 sq ft manufacturing site in Bradford, next to its existing facility in Commondale Way.
Bradford Council has green-lit these construction plans, involving an investment of up to £10 million and potentially generating 400 new jobs.
Moreover, the bakery sector is witnessing significant activity. In May, Around Noon inaugurated a new factory in Slough, while this month saw the Kingsmill owner acquire rival brand Hovis in a landmark deal.
