Lineage is enhancing its refrigerated warehouse operations in Texas through a partnership with TGW Logistics.

Based in Michigan, USA, Lineage oversees over 500 temperature-sensitive facilities globally, with locations spanning the United Kingdom, Belgium, and The Netherlands. The company caters to a diverse clientele across North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.

Expected to commence operations by late 2027, this state-of-the-art distribution center will serve a prominent grocery producer in the United States and bolster Lineage’s cold chain capabilities throughout North America.

Situated in the Dallas–Fort Worth logistics corridor, this facility is poised to optimize the distribution of both refrigerated and frozen products nationwide.

As part of this Texas initiative, TGW Logistics is providing a holistic automation solution that encompasses a shuttle warehouse, energy-efficient conveyor systems for pallets and cartons, as well as automated stations for palletizing and depalletizing.

This advanced system is crafted for high throughput and dependable order fulfillment, facilitating the swift and effective management of temperature-sensitive goods.

Michael Pammer, CEO of TGW Logistics’ customer unit distributor business, remarked: “A close collaborative relationship and shared understanding of values have united Lineage and TGW Logistics for many years.”

He added, “Together we continue to evolve with the goal of providing even better service for customers and consumers. We are therefore particularly pleased with the trust placed in us to implement such a major project in Texas.”

Pammer further emphasized, “Temperature-controlled logistics operations face a number of challenges, including labor shortages and increasing efficiency requirements. Automation solutions that combine performance, energy efficiency, and sustainability therefore play a key role in future-ready warehouse operations.”

In 2026, the IntraLogisteX event will be held in Dallas, further establishing the city as a pivotal logistics hub in North America, gathering the industry’s most influential professionals for this significant trade show and conference.
